The mobile library service is in danger of being axed and I would urge as many people as possible to fill in the Libraries Consultation to object to the closure.  The form is available on line or a paper copy can be obtained from any library.  The closing date is 14th December.

Many people in the village rely on the mobile van for their books, large-print books, audio books etc. and would have difficulty getting to Hastings or Rye (Ore Library is also marked for closure).  If they use the bus there is a fair walk to both libraries and if they get a lift there is a parking issue.

East Sussex is also suggesting “an enhanced eLibrary”, which I feel will not be appropriate for many villagers.

I know the Council has to try to save money but PLEASE help keep the mobile libraries on the road.
