Subj: Explosions.

Dear Resident,

I had a phone call this morning from the officer at the Lydd Ranges,.  He has assured me that there will be no more explosions for the time being.  He has also assured me that he will phone me & I will circulate the residents when they do start detonating again.  The men who were training this week are being deployed to a 'theatre of war' tomorrow.

Hopefully next time we should know in advance when more detonation is to take place.  Mr Keeling thanks the residents of Fairlight for their understanding and forebearance, he didn't realise the shock waves would reach this far but I did point out that sound travels more easily across water!  Science lesson over for today!!!

All good wishes,

Val.
